This program is intended for health professionals and others who educate and support breastfeeding mothers. Participants gain up-to-date knowledge and skills in breastfeeding support and awareness of current issues in lactation. The program will help prepare students for the IBLCE certification exam. Courses in this program are offered through Distance Education.
Students with educational background and clinical experience may write a challenge exam in lieu of taking the first course. Please contact the Prior Learning Office (PLA) at 905-575-2395 / 519-759-7200 ext. 2395 for assessment fee and challenge exam information.
To obtain the “Acknowledgement of Completion”, you must complete all three courses.
