This exciting program will provide RNs and RPNs with an opportunity to develop knowledge and clinical skills in Mental Health. Courses are offered entirely through distance education.
The first level of the program provides nurses with an understanding of the basic concepts of mental health nursing. Theory and clinical practice provide the opportunity for nurses to develop the necessary skills to function as a member of the mental health team. The second level of the program provides an opportunity for RNs to develop research skills through participation in a research project related to mental health.
