Collaborative Ontario College Advanced Diploma/Bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences Degree
Location: Mohawk - McMaster Institute for Applied Health Sciences, Four year

  • Attain both an Ontario College Advanced Diploma in Health Sciences and Bachelor of Medical Radiation Sciences
  • Reap the benefits of a fully integrated program offered jointly by Mohawk College and McMaster University
  • Program structure includes:
    • Prescribed set of exciting courses over a four-year program
    • Common first year, with specialization in years two to four
    • Three semesters of clinical education
    • Integrated theory and clinical education
    • Integrated university and college curriculum
    • Three semesters of laboratory preparation for clinical practice
    • Interprofessional courses involving students in MRSc programs
  • Experience clinical placement in a variety of hospitals and independent health facilities located throughout Ontario

Students are introduced to the specializations in the Level 1 course MedRadSc1A03. Selection is by committee. Students are not guaranteed their first choice.

Admission Requirements

APPLY THROUGH ONTARIO UNIVERSITY APPLICATION CENTRE (OUAC-www.ouac.on.ca)

  • Completion of the Ontario Secondary School Diploma (or equivalent) and:
    • 6 Grade 12 U or M courses including English U, Advanced Functions and Introductory Calculus U, Biology U and Chemistry U
    • Grade 12 U Physics is highly recommended
    • Completion of two additional U or M courses
      to total six credits including English U, Biology
      U, Chemistry U, Advanced Functions U and One of Calculus and Vectors U
  • Medical Radiation Sciences is a limited enrollment program and admission is by selection. Applicants should present a minimum of 82-84% for consideration for admission
  • Accepted applicants are required to provide an up-to-date immunization record and have Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification at the BCLS Level C prior to commencing term 2 of Level II.
