HISTORY OF SHIP'S SCHOOL EDUCATION TOURS

Eiffel Tower School travel is a long-standing tradition in Britain. It was a favourite practice in the past to fly a whole class to the Mediterranean, board a "classroom ship" and do a week's touring, with formal classes onboard and field trips and sightseeing ashore. This concept was brought to Canada in the mid-sixties and Ship's School organized then what was probably the first major overseas tour for a Canadian School. Ship's School has been serving the travel needs of Canadian Teachers and their students, all grades including college and university, ever since. All tours are individually constructed to suit the specific needs of the group.
Ship's School, founded in Canada by Norbert Pauwels and a colleague, was merged later with Pauwels Travel Bureau and is now a division of that Company. Sandra Pauwels, daughter of the founder is the manager and she is supported by a very capable, experienced, and expanding team.
