*PE courses are all 4 hours a week - students can
choose 2 only. Total - 18-20 hours a week. Students
wishing to complete the two year diploma will transfer
into second year G.A.S. (see General Arts & Science).

Academic Specializations

  • Enhance your chances of acceptance into a competitive program at Mohawk
  • Completion of year one of this program results in certificate
  • Graduates with a diploma in this program with good academic standing are eligible to complete a Bachelor of Arts in Contemporary Studies at Laurier University Brantford with an additional two years of study
  • Other degree transfer options at most Canadian universities are available with up to three semesters of exemptions

Admission Requirements

  • OSSD or equivalent (GED, College and Career Preparation) including:
    • Grade 12 English, general, advanced, C or U or equivalent
    • Grade 10 Mathematics, general, advanced, applied or academic is recommended for the math and science option
  • Mature applicants are considered individually
