Many colleges and schools offer Bridging Programs for immigrants who have worked in healthcare occupations and have healthcare training and education. Most of these programs require Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) 7 as an entry level.
Mohawk College's Pre-Bridging Program will help improve the language skills of internationally educated individuals with a healthcare background, who already have Canadian Language Benchmark levels 5 & 6.
The program is offered by Distance Education and includes these 4 modules (50 hours each - 200 hours in total):
- Standards and Practices in Ontario
- Terminology in the Workplace
- Speaking Up, Speaking Out
- Communications
