Work Term Capabilities

Work Term 1, 2 and 3

  • Assemble data for surveys, i.e., packaging audits.
  • Conduct preliminary analysis on package development projects.
  • Research packaging topics. i.e., options for a specific product package.
  • Provide incoming and final goods package quality control.
  • Develop Excel spreadsheets for data analysis.
  • Prepare reports using WordPerfect/Word.
  • Create / edit CAD drawings.
  • Prepare samples for sales representatives (paperboard, corrugated).
  • Basic corrugated and paperboard design.
  • Basic materials selection for plastics application
  • Work on packaging line and/or in related production areas.
  • Basic production graphics design (Adobe).
  • Basic design for protective packaging.
  • Gather information for analysis of packaging machinery or material.
  • Make recommendations for package improvements.
  • Industrial engineering studies of packaging lines.
  • Evaluate and recommend environmentally preferred packaging solutions.
  • Intermediate design for paperboard, corrugated and protective packaging.
  • Develop packaging specifications.
  • Participate in packaging development process.
