Pre-Apprenticeship training programs
- Mohawk College offers pre-apprenticeship trades training funded by the Government of Ontario. These full time programs in designated skilled trades areas are designed for participants interested in securing apprenticeships.
- In addition to the Basic Level 1 apprenticeship training, these programs include academic upgrading and pre-apprenticeship trades-specific training and a mandatory on-the-job work experience component.
- Program offerings are subject to MTCU approval and labour market demand.

Job Connect Scholarship and Signing Bonus
- Job Connect provides targeted assistance to young people looking for apprenticeship training by connecting them with employers interested in hiring and training apprentices.
Academic Scholarships and Signing Bonus
- Job Connect provides $1,000 scholarships for young people (24 and under) who return and complete academic upgrading to qualify and register as an apprentice.
- Job Connect provides a $2,000 signing bonus for employers who support scholarship recipients’ apprenticeship registration and provide apprenticeship training.
