Who is eligible to apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (O.S.A.P.)?

You are eligible to apply for O.S.A.P. if you are a Canadian Citizen, Permanent Resident or Protected Person and are planning to enroll in at least 60% of a full course load in an approved program at Mohawk College. Students with documented permanent disabilities are eligible to apply if they are planning to enroll in at least 40% of a full course load. To be eligible to both Canada Student Loans and Ontario Student Loans under O.S.A.P., you must have always resided in Ontario, or Ontario must have been the last province you resided in for 12 consecurtive months without being a full-time post-secondary student. If you are married/common-law, you may qualify for Ontario residency through your partner, or if you are a "dependent" you may qualify through your parent(s), legal guardian or official sponsor (contact Mohawk's Financial Aid Office for details).
