"I attended the Cross-Connection / Backflow Preventor Certification course at Mohawk College in October 2006. I work for an environmental consultant and figured that this would be good experience to add to our already multi-faceted business, providing our clients with another option. The course was very informative and worthwhile. I learned an extensive amount about the Ontario Building Code, plumbing and importance of having backflow preventors; as well as having a by-law which helps to protect the municipal water system. Since the course, I have completed a full backflow preventor survey and testing program for a large auto producer. I found the course rewarding and intrigued me to take additional courses which involve by-law enforcement and protection of our water resources.
