Language Instruction For Newcomers To Canada (LINC)

The objective of the program is to assist immigrants and refugees to progress along the integration continuum

In partnership with Citizenship and Immigration Canada, Mohawk College provides basic and above basic level language instruction for newcomers to Canada.  The objective of the program is to assist immigrants and refugees to progress along the integration continuum by developing their linguistic communication skills (reading, writing, listening/speaking) and preparing them for employment.

This new FREE program is available to LINC eligible youth 18 - 25 years old. 

The program includes:
- English Language Training, Research
- Research, Script Writing, Camera Work, Editing
- Computer Labs, Library and Resource Centres to assist with learning and career planning
- Bus tickets

22 week program
Monday to Friday  9:00 am - 2:00 pm
Classes held at Mohawk College Fennell Campus, Room J224
