| Testimonials I participated in several meetings with the IES Team regarding the Academic Planning Process. I thoroughly enjoyed this experience because the meetings were always focused, organized and energized, with a definitive agenda each time so that every minute was productive. Participating in this project was motivating because of the opportunity each of us had to explain where our roles fit into the current academic planning process, as well as to offer suggestions for improvement and change. In summation, it was an excellent experience that left me feeling enthusiastic about my position and the changes that are coming that will enhance and strengthen the entire academic planning process overall, and particularly my role within it. Through the involvement of all staff groups, the collaborative process used by IES helps analyze what we are currently doing and look critically at what could be done differently, taking all stakeholders' points of view into consideration. The use of metrics substantiates the work and allows the development of 'quick wins', steps that can be taken immediately to save time and money. I look forward to continued work with the team on the current exemption process and other processes to come. Corinne Ethier Registrar's Division
I was eager and interested to work with the Institutional Effectiveness and Satisfaction team reviewing the Academic Planning Process. Having the opportunity to sit with alternate Mohawk staff and openly discuss and state observations and/or view points that capture an "as is" scenario should assist in directing an informed decision making process. Too often we complain that no one really listens to the concerns and suggestions that are brought forward….this was an opportunity to allow us to have a voice and a listening ear. I felt the goal for IES was to bring a balance of work effectiveness and employee satisfaction in looking at the long term goals and requirements for the Academic Planning Process. I look forward to the summarization of the results and the employee suggested benefits that I hope will be brought forward for the future. Myrna Kelly, Student Services IAHS
It was clear from the first meeting of our team that a project that examined the Academic Planning Process from beginning to end was long overdue. I am confident that our ideas will go forward to benefit our students and the way the college does business. My thanks to the IES team for documenting our concerns and keeping us on track.
