Under a formal partnership memorandum of understanding signed today with Storeimage, Mohawk will provide the Brantford-based company with workforce training, applied research and job-ready college graduates. In return, Storeimage will help Mohawk students graduate to success by donating equipment, offering cooperative education work terms, investing in financial-need bursaries and merit-based scholarships and serving on program advisory committees.

"Storeimage is North America's retail solutions leader because of our 350 'retail obsessed' employees who excel at converting shoppers into buyers for our clients," says President Janice Locke. Storeimage clients include, Staples Business Depot, Zellers, Shoppers Drug Mart, A&P, Katz/Pharma Plus and Mac's Convenience Stores. "Our strategic partnership with Mohawk College allows us to continue investing in the skills of our employees and also attracting the best and the brightest job-ready Mohawk graduates."

In response to demand for more graduates from industry leaders such as Storeimage, Mohawk is leveraging its strengths in graphic design and packaging by establishing a new Centre of Excellence in Advanced Design and Packaging Technologies at the College's Brantford Campus. Mohawk President MaryLynn West-Moynes says the partnership with Storeimage will give College students yet another competitive advantage in the workplace. "Through the continuing support and involvement of Storeimage, Mohawk students will be learning the skills and gaining real-world experience to get the job done for the best in the business."
