Jasmin Cull Named Top Male Athlete By OCAA
After one of the most dominant seasons in the history of the Ontario Colleges Athletic Association, Mohawk volleyball sensation Jasmin Cull has been selected the OCAA Male Athlete of the Year for 2007-2008.

Cull, in his fourth year of eligibility and graduate of Ancaster High School, not only led the Mountaineers to their first CCAA National Bronze Medal and second OCAA Championship in three years, he erased five individual or team records this season. He destroyed the single season mark for service aces by 27 and became the OCAA's all-time career leader in aces. Cull also became the first Ontario player since 1998 to be named CCAA National Men's Volleyball Player of the Year and was also selected OCAA Player of the Year and a CCAA All-Canadian, both for the second straight year.
Cull, currently in the second year of Mohawk's General Arts and Science course, was named winner of the Wes Hicks Outstanding Male Athlete Award at Mohawk for 2007-2008.
He will be presented with his OCAA Athlete of the Year Award at a News Conference Thursday April 24 at 12:00 pm at the Fennell Gymnasium.
