Mandy Lagan
Applied Music Diploma Program 1984
Bachelor of Arts (Music)

Music at Mohawk"The Music Department at Mohawk College offered me a treasure trove of experiences. I met all sorts of people who I could truly connect withÑother musicians and music enthusiasts, many of whom are still very much a part of my life, either professionally, personally or matrimonially! I discovered jazz while studying classical piano at Mohawk. I was encouraged to explore my desire to sing, even though there were no vocal courses in the program at that time. The faculty gave me the confidence I needed to pursue my musical ambitions and have been extremely supportive in endeavours as a jazz artist/singer. My three years at Mohawk College were the best three years of my life (so far)."

Ms. Lagan has released two CDs containing standard jazz material and her own writing. Currently involved in a writing project with world renowned musicians, she has been performing in Toronto and Southwestern Ontario for over ten years and will be touring across Canada in the coming years.
