Successful Grads Speak
"I was easily able to apply what I learned at Mohawk College at the Ontario Police College. Mohawk provided me with a solid foundation to build upon, allowing me to concentrate and focus on other aspects of my new responsibilities when I joined the Ontario Provincial Police. Everyday as a patrol officer, I learn something new and apply my education in the execution of my duties."

"Growing up, my dream was always to become a Police Officer. I wanted to experience the excitement and challenge of policing. To fulfil my dream, I needed a sound foundation of education and experience to point me in the right direction. Mohawk College was the answer. My two years in the Law and Security Program at Mohawk College gave me a better understanding of my chosen career. It prepared me with the wide berth of knowledge that I would need to better serve my community. Upon completion of my two years at Mohawk, I was hired by the Hamilton Police Service. The training and knowledge that I brought to the Police Service from Mohawk College enabled me to quickly adjust to my new career. Policing is a very dynamic occupation. Continuous learning, improvement and innovation are hallmarks of the Hamilton Police. The education that I received at Mohawk College no doubt contributed to my success in Policing and gave me the solid foundation on to which I built by career. Thanks Mohawk."

"I began my college career elsewhere, but because I found their policing program wasn't fully organized to my expectations, I decided to transfer to Mohawk College. Mohawk College allowed me to fly. The support of the teachers, their expertise and experience, coupled with the atmosphere of the Brantford Campus, allowed me to discover what I am capable of and exceed my own expectations. I strongly feel that transferring to Mohawk was the best decision I could have made and that I have been afforded the finest opportunity to learn about the policing world."

"I've wanted to be a police officer for as long as I can remember. Mohawk College provided me with the knowledge, understanding and confidence to pursue my aspirations. By offering me the skills and training that was required to achieve my goals, Mohawk College helped me to grow both personally and professionally. I not only have been able to pursue a career in law enforcement, but became the youngest police officer ever hired by the Hamilton Police Service. I credit my success to the support of the teaching staff and administration at Mohawk College."
