The Choice Is Yours. You Have The Will. Mohawk College Will Show You The Way.

Welcome to Mohawk College and the General Arts and Science Program!

General Arts and Science (G.A.S.) is a program intended to open a variety of career and educational pathways to you.  Each semester you will gain course credits which can be used towards a General Arts and Science Certificate (after one year) or a Diploma (after two years). The Pre-Health G.A.S program may lead you to the BScN Nursing program at McMaster University.

Many of our General Arts and Science students successfully use the one year certificate as a springboard to other college programs. Other students choose to stay with the program to graduation and most of these students successfully enter university.

Whatever you choose, we are dedicated to working closely with you to help you to master your courses and to select a satisfying career goal.  For your part, we expect you to open your mind to new subjects and new ideas, to a variety of approaches to learning and to the personal concern we will take for your progress and to the career planning process of the General Arts and Science program.

In this way, we anticipate that your days in the College will be beneficial to your career plans as well as to your personal development. While your studies are the most important component of your time with us, we also hope that you have an enjoyable social life at the College and take the opportunity to meet a wide variety of people from all over the world.

We hope that you take advantage of all the services and opportunities the College offers you to help you succeed in your studies and make your time with us rewarding.

You are most welcome to visit me any time with concerns or just to introduce yourself.

Good Luck and Welcome to General Arts and Science!
