Academic Specializations - In second year, students apply to specialize in either the business or creative side of advertising for the duration of their studies. A maximum of 30 students will be accepted into the creative stream and selection criteria may be used to determine a student's final placement
- Third year runs for a full Fall semester of fourteen weeks, followed by a Winter semester of seven weeks. After successful completion of all required courses, students complete a mandatory seven week field placement
- Students may be required to lease a laptop
- The program curriculum is reviewed annually to ensure it continues to meet the needs of employers and graduates
Admission Requirements - OSSD or equivalent (GEGED, College and Career Preparation) including:
- Grade 12 English, general, advanced, C or U or equivalent (70% guideline)
- Excellent reading and writing skills are required for success in this program
- Mature applicants are considered individually
Shining Stars Last Spring, teams of (then) second year advertising students competed in Advertising Educators Association of Canada (AEAC) competitions in business and creative case studies.
