- Understand how buildings work by learning the science of their materials, construction techniques and building services
- Acquire
CAD, plan reading and visualization skills needed to create plans,
contracts and specifications for today's modern structures
- Explore building and construction materials & finishes
- Design in steel, timber, masonry and concrete
- Develop construction surveying skills, estimating, building code applications and regulations
- Choose
your own path in third year by selecting between the Design Option
(building design and drafting, plans, working drawings) and the
Construction Option (project management, construction supervision,
facilities management).

Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists
(OACETT) and the Association of Architectural Technologists of Ontario
(AATO)

Admission Requirements - OSSD or equivalent (GED, College and Career Preparation) including:
- Grade 12 English, general, advanced, C or U

12 Mathematics, general (Technology) or advanced, C (Math for College
Technology is recommended) or U, or Mohawk College Prep Math for
Technology or equivalent
- Senior Physics and Drafting are advised
- or Mohawk College Pretechnology Completion
